Will Muschamp surprises South Carolina DB with scholarship

No matter the team, no matter the player, college football scholarship surprise videos never get old.
Tuesday, the SEC Network shared a clip from South Carolina practice where Gamecocks coach Will Muschamp surprises defensive back Jaylan Foster with the news that he is on scholarship. Foster’s teammates went wild, as you can see in the clip below.
Foster is a redshirt senior. He joined the South Carolina program in 2017 after previously playing at Gardner-Webb. In 2016, as a freshman at Gardner-Webb, Foster played cornerback, registering 45 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss, a pair of fumble recoveries and a team-leading 5 pass interceptions and 9 pass breakups. Those stats earned him Big South Conference Freshman of the Year.
With the Gamecocks, Foster worked on the scout team in 2017 while sitting out his transfer year. He did not see game action in 2018 but played in three games on special teams last season.
