Deion Sanders continues to impress, and for ESPN commentator Paul Finebaum, the Colorado coach may have done his best job yet.

The Rocky Mountain Showdown has been played since 1893, but Saturday night was just the 3rd time it went to overtime, and the Buffaloes prevailed.

Shedeur Sanders threw a TD pass to Michael Harrison in the second overtime after he led the drive to tie the game with 36 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. The final score was 43-35 after midnight local time in front of a full house filled with famous names.

“In many ways, I thought it was Deion’s most impressive win yet in his 3 at Colorado,” Finebaum said on ESPN’s SportsCenter. “Because they had so many distractions leading in. You talked about it already, but when you bring all the pregame shows, you bring Lil Wayne, you bring The Rock, I thought I saw Taylor Swift there, but could’ve misread that with sunglasses. It was insane, and they were still able to play.”

While Finebaum said Colorado played an inferior team in Colorado State, the Buffs still needed to stay together.

“They were resilient, they came from behind,” he said. “They made so many critical plays in big moments and I think this will help them as they move forward. The only problem with moving forward, you just laid it out, they play the 2 toughest games on the schedule next.”

Colorado plays Oregon and Southern Cal the next 2 weeks.
