High school football gives us some wild moments, some good and some not-so-good. But it’s difficult to find many plays that compare to the one Kai Millner, a senior quarterback at Higley High School in Gilbert, Ariz., pulled off on Thursday.
Millner, a Cal commit, and his team squared off against Glendale (Ariz.) Mountain Ridge in an exhibition contest nicknamed the “Chilly Bowl”. And Millner made sure that he would go out with at least one big-time highlight on his resume with an insane, behind-the-back, no-look touchdown pass.
Just take a look for yourself:
This TD play call was disrespectful 😅

It was an exhibition, so Mountain Ridge’s defensive coordinator probably won’t be too upset about giving this one up. As for Higley, it had clearly been drawing that play up just for this particular game.
Millner—a 4-star recruit according to 247Sports—was named the game’s MVP for his efforts. We’ll see what kind of tricks he has up his sleeve when he hits the college ranks next fall.
