LOOK: Fans jump to Jarren Williams' defense on Twitter after OC Dan Enos ripped the Miami QB
Miami OC Dan Enos had some harsh words for freshman QB Jarren Williams on Monday after the Hurricanes lost to Florida 24-20 on opening night.
He called the freshman starter’s performance “very, very disappointing,” seemingly ignoring the fact that Williams was running for his life all night and still didn’t commit any turnovers.
Let’s just say college football fans didn’t much appreciate Enos’s comments, taking to Twitter to call out the Miami coordinator:
Someone strap some steaks on Enos, take him on safari and see if he gets through his progressions.

@CoachDanEnos Enos’ play calling was “very, very disappointing”. Williams was sacked 10 times and under constant duress yet it never occurred to his coach to call screens and draws to make the overly aggressive defense pay. Just threw his talented QB under the bus.

This is the kind of coach we need in the Pac-12. Takes no accountability and blames the kids. Larry Scott loves this guy!

Wow! Way to throw your quarterback under the bus. Not sure I’d want to play for a coach that fails to put me in situations to succeed but then refuses to take any of the blame.

Right, because a freshman qb in his first ever start against a top 10 team is supposed to be Tom Brady. Give me a break.

Poor kid had NO blocking for him! IMO it’s the O-Line that needs work- more than the QB! He stood in there and took it play after play!

Hard to throw when you’re flat on your back. #GoGators!

We’ll see if Enos issues some sort of public apology to Williams. Or, maybe, head coach Manny Diaz will simply stop letting Enos talk to the press.
