On Monday, Miami coach Manny Diaz announced that freshman Jarren Williams had won the Hurricanes’ starting quarterback job.

Then, in an interesting twist, Martell didn’t practice with the team on Monday evening, sparking rumors that he could be transferring again.

However, that seems like it was a bit premature, as Martell was back at practice on Tuesday, according to a picture from Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times:

Martell still hasn’t won the backup job, as he and N’Kosi Perry will battle it out for the rest of fall camp. Things have been tough for Martell this week so far, but for now, it seems he’s sticking it out with the Hurricanes.
