As the 2020 college football season approaches, COVID-19 cases are on the rise in a number of states throughout the country.

However, many schools are trying to bring athletes back to campus for voluntary workouts, but a few schools have had to hit pause on those plans.

On Monday, Arizona became the latest school to halt its athlete re-entry plan ahead of the 2020 season:

It’s still only June (though July is only a couple of days away), so there’s time for Arizona and others to get the COVID-19 cases under control and still have a season.

However, these next few weeks will be critical all across the country as we slowly progress toward Week 1.
