Scott Frost, Nebraska get shredded for onside kick decision
Scott Frost and Nebraska are playing against Northwestern in Dublin, Ireland, during Week 0.
The Cornhuskers have been playing well, led by quarterback Casey Thompson. The Texas transfer signal caller is 19-of-28 for 298 yards and 1 touchdown. He has also added a rushing touchdown.
Cornhuskers running back Anthony Grant scored on a 46-yard touchdown run to give his team a 28-17 lead in the third quarter.
So, what does Frost and Nebraska do? Instead of kicking it deep, the Cornhuskers inexplicably tried for an onside kick attempt up 11 points. Yeah, we don’t get it either.

Northwestern then proceeded to march down the field and score a touchdown to cut the lead to 28-24. The Wildcats seemed to capture all of the momentum, too.
And social media shredded Frost and Nebraska over the onside kick attempt, too.
Scott Frost gets an 11 pt lead and immediately thinks “sure I’m 3-20 when trailing at the half, but why not go for an onside kick?”

If Nebraska somehow loses this game, they should fire Scott Frost and make him swim home.

This is why Scott Frost is a terrible coach. All the momentum and then he went full potato with an onside call.
