After 5-star safety commits to Texas, recent 4-star Texas A&M safety commit takes shots at Horns on Twitter

Texas is landing some of the Lone Star State’s top safeties in its 2018 recruiting class, but 4-star safety Leon O’Neal Jr. is still confident that the Aggies are better suited for long-term success, so he took to Twitter to rain on the Longhorns’ parade and declare himself the best of the bunch.

O’Neal’s “All Those Safeties…” tweet came shortly after 5-star safety BJ Foster, ranked No. 1 at his position and No. 2 recruit in the state of Texas on the 247Sports Composite, committed to UT. Foster joins a loaded safety class for the Longhorns which includes 4-star recruits Caden Sterns (No. 4 S, No. 4 Texas) and DeMarvion Overshown (No. 9 S, No. 13 Texas). The Aggies, meanwhile, have O’Neal (No. 6 S, No. 8 Texas) and 4-star Jordan Moore (No. 19 S, No. 28 Texas) in their defensive back class.

Unfortunately for the five safeties, the only chance to settle anything on the field would come in a bowl game, unless the schools make changes to future schedules. If the Aggies win a national championship while O’Neal is in College Station, we’re sure he’ll send a reminder to all his friends in Austin.
