Aggies five-star QB commit Tate Martell gets offer from ‘favorite coach’ at Cal
Texas A&M fans are thrilled about their five-star quarterback commitment for 2017, but they’re not thrilled about his reaction to his latest offer.
Tate Martell, the top-rated dual-threat QB in the class according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings, made his pledge to the Aggies back on Aug. 20.
Martell has gotten plenty of offers since then, but he announced one on Wednesday that shook up College Station because of his high praise for former Texas A&M offensive coordinator Jake Spavital.
The Aggies let go of Spavital after a disappointing 2015 season.

The strong reaction from Aggies fans prompted the prospect out of Las Vegas to take to Twitter to reaffirm his commitment to the Aggies.
