Braden Mann, a fourth-year punter for the Philadelphia Eagles, completed his third career pass attempt Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys.

A former Ray Guy Award winner with Texas A&M, Mann lined up for a standard punt early in the second quarter with the Eagles facing a fourth-and-2 from their own 33-yard-line. Mann faked the punt and fired to a wide-open Olamide Zaccheaus for a 28-yard gain to move the chains.

Four plays later, Philly kicked a field goal to draw within a single possession of the Cowboys, 10-3.

Mann spent his first three NFL seasons with the New York Jets, who drafted him in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He completed one of his two pass attempts with the Jets during the 2022 season, a 17-yard pickup for a first down.

As a junior at Texas A&M in 2018, Mann was the best punter in the country. He was named the SEC Special Teams Player of the Year and was a unanimous All-American selection. He won the Ray Guy Award after averaging 51 yards a punt with 19 of his 50 attempts downed inside the 20-yard-line. He had a long of 81 yards that season — one of 28 punts that traveled more than 50 yards.

Sounds like the absolute last guy you’d want to see at your local punt, pass, and kick competition.
