Texas A&M is now down two cornerbacks to start the season against Texas State.

On Thursday, Jimbo Fisher announced that starting cornerback Debione Renfro was suspended for a violation of team rules. To add to that, touted freshman cornerback Erick Young announced on his Instagram that he would be out for three to four weeks due to an injury.

Young shared the following photo, and he can be seen in what appears to be a sling.

Young is one of Texas A&M’s highest rated signees for the 2019 recruiting class. He was rated a 4-star prospect and ranked as the nation’s No. 96 overall player in the country, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. The Richmond, Texas, native ranked as the nation’s No. 10 cornerback and the state’s No. 16 overall prospect.

Texas A&M released its first depth chart Thursday, and Young was nowhere to be found on the three-deep.

The Aggies open up the season against Texas State Thursday, August 29 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
