Eddie George’s Tennessee State program recently landed its first big transfer commitment.

The Tigers just got better on the field thanks to former Texas A&M defender Derrick Tucker, who made the decision to leave the Aggies this offseason.

Tucker sat out the 2020 season after making the decision to opt-out in College Station.

When announcing his decision to transfer to Tennessee State, which located in Nashville, Tucker specifically thanked George and TSU advisor to George, Jeff Fisher. Fisher formerly George’s head coach during their time together with the Titans.

“I would like to thank everyone who helped me throughout my process, With that being said I will be furthering my academic and athletic career at The Tennessee State University. I would like to thank coach Eddie George and Coach Jeff Fisher for welcoming me into their program!”

During his playing career at Texas A&M, Tucker made 84 tackles, defended five passes and had one interception. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
