While Jimbo Fisher’s full-time Texas A&M coaching staff has been assembled for some time, the Aggies haven’t stopped adding pieces to the coach’s first staff in College Station.

The latest example of that comes with the hiring of former Florida State quarterback Sean Maguire. Considering Maguire played under Fisher from 2013-2016, there may not be a better option available that can teach the finer points of playing the quarterback position in Fisher’s system in a relatable fashion to the Aggie QBs than the former Seminole signal-caller.

Maguire served almost extensively as a reserve during his playing career, as he threw for 2,039 yards, 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in four seasons, but he was also on some of Fisher’s best FSU teams. He is most known for serving as Jameis Winston’s backup during a two-year stretch that saw the team go 27-1 from 2013-2014.
