For anyone wondering why Texas A&M handed Jimbo Fisher a giant contract to leave Tallahassee for College Station, the coach’s career record against the Florida Gators likely had something to do with it.
Well, Fisher continued his dominance over the Gators on Saturday as he led his Aggie program to a 41-38 win over Florida.
The win could not have come at a better time for Fisher as the Aggie coach was beginning to feel some heat under his seat in College Station.
So much for that.
Thanks to his career record of 8-1 over Florida, Fisher is suddenly the toast of College Station again.
