At this point in fall camp, no coaches are happy with where their teams are. There’s so much work to do and so little time to do it in.

Count Jimbo Fisher as a coach who isn’t particularly happy with where his team is. When the preseason AP Poll came out on Monday, the Aggies were ranked No. 12 in the country.

However, after Monday’s practice, Fisher said he thinks his squad still has some work to do to be considered the 12th-best team in the nation:

“I can see that team, but we’re not that team yet,” he said. “Maybe we’re better? I think we have really good players. It’s just a matter of how we execute and get all the details and understanding and identifying the roles for the guys. The more we play with consistency, the more I’ll visualize that. … We could have a great year.”

Will the Aggies finish higher or lower than No. 12 when all is said and done? They have talent, but they also have a brutal schedule, so we’ll have to see how Fisher and his squad navigate that this fall.
