Jimbo Fisher’s final speech to his team following Texas A&M’s win over Mississippi State emerged this week after the head coach was fired on Sunday.

The speech came Saturday night, just hours before Fisher was fired as head coach of the Aggies. Fisher compliments his team on the dominant win over the Bulldogs and begins planning for next week. It’s not clear whether Fisher knew his time at Texas A&M was coming to an end shortly after, but the speech served as his final message to the team.

“We gotta get better, practice next week, have a great week and go play a home game here,” Fisher said in the speech. “We need to play well, prepare well all week, send these seniors out the right way and finish this season off strong so we can go in the next year and do the things we gotta do.”

Now Texas A&M will close out the season with Elijah Robinson at the helm. The Aggies will close out the season with games against Abeline Christian on Saturday and LSU next week.
