Mike Elko shared some bad news regarding receiver Cyrus Allen on Monday.
Allen, who suffered an arm injury in A&M’s game this past weekend, will be out for the remainder of the 2024 campaign. Elko told reporters on Monday that his injury will require arm surgery:

Allen made 1 catch for 9 yards on Saturday against New Mexico before leaving the game due to the injury.
His 2024 campaign finishes with 18 catches for 269 yards and 1 touchdown in 10 games. He had a reduced role for much of this season after going for over 500 yards in each of his first 2 years in College Station.
Still, Allen was an important part of this Texas A&M offense over the first 10 games of the season. According to Pro Football Focus, he was second on the team with 190 pass snaps so far this season behind only Noah Thomas with 240.
Texas A&M has a lot on the line over the last couple weeks of the season. The Aggies, even with 2 losses, are still in position to potentially make the College Football Playoff if they win out. However, that would require beating Auburn on Saturday and then Texas at home in Week 14.
