Texas A&M DE Myles Garrett made headlines earlier this year when he announced that he would not attend the 2017 NFL Draft in Philadelphia at the end of April.

Instead, the likely No. 1 overall pick will watch the draft at home with his family and friends. That decision has drawn the eye of NFL Hall of Fame RB Eric Dickerson, who said he fully supports the former Aggie’s choice:

Clearly, Garrett’s family means a lot to him, as he said on Thursday that he’d buy his parents whatever they wanted with his first NFL paycheck.

Since the Cleveland Browns are the team most likely to choose Garrett (assuming they don’t trade the No. 1 pick), staying at home also means he won’t have to pretend to be happy to be heading to Cleveland for the 2017 season.
