Former Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett continues to amaze during the pre-draft process. After blowing away NFL scouts and evaluators at the NFL Combine, Garrett put on another show for those in attendance for A&M’s Thursday Pro Day event.

Here’s video of Garrett clocking an unofficial 4.61 40-yard dash, with the SEC Networks’ Marcus Spears audibly expressing his amazement at the speed of the former Aggie.

While many were surprised Garrett decided to run the 40 at A&M’s Pro Day after his impressive 4.62 at the combine, the defensive end had a very good reason for doing so.

Showing off his power and explosion, Garrett can not only fun like the wind, he broad jumped over 10 feet during the event.

Following the working, Garrett fielded questions for the media in attendance. During his interview process, Garrett was asked if he still planned on not attending the Philadelphia draft.

“I do. I plan on being home for the draft,” Garrett responded.

When asked what he planned on doing with his first NFL paycheck, Garrett’s first thoughts were of his parents.

“I’ll probably spoil my parents,” Garrett answered. “They raised me I have the chance to finally give back and I’m going to do that.”

No doubt, whichever team drafts Garrett — likely with the top overall pick (currently held by the Cleveland Browns), they will be getting not only an outstanding prospect but an all-around quality individual to build their team around.
