AP Top 25: Mississippi State and Florida take massive leaps, 10 SEC teams crack Week 5 poll

Texas football is once again the winner of the week after downing Tennessee at Neyland Stadium. The Longhorns, to nobody’s surprise, are ranked No. 1 in Sunday’s Week 5 AP Top 25 poll.
Including the Longhorns, 5 SEC teams landed in the top 10 this week. Just behind Texas, Georgia comes in at No. 2 after demolishing Oklahoma, 41-13. Alabama remains in the top 10 at No. 7 following a blowout win over South Carolina, and Ole Miss isn’t far behind at No. 9 after losing to Florida. Speaking of, the Gators made the biggest jump of the weekend, leaping 13 spots to take the No. 8 spot ahead of Ole Miss.
Other SEC teams ranked in the AP Top 25 this week include the following: Mississippi State (No. 16), Tennessee (No. 17), Kentucky (No. 24) and Mizzou (No. 25).
