Report: Texas A&M adds dual-threat grad-transfer forward from Tennessee State
It’s been a busy day for transfers in the college basketball world, and the Texas A&M Aggies got in on the action on Saturday afternoon, too.
According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, coach Billy Kennedy has brought in a graduate transfer from Tennessee Tech.
Per Rothstein, F Christian Mekowulu has said he’ll transfer to play his final season at Texas A&M this fall:
Tennessee State grad transfer Christian Mekowulu tells me he has committed to Texas A&M. Immediately eligible.

Mekowulu really stepped up his game last season, averaging 12.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.5 blocks while starting 29 of the 30 games he played in for Tennessee Tech in 2017-18.
As a graduate transfer, Mekowulu will be eligible to play right away, meaning he can step into the void left by Tyler Davis and Robert Williams declaring for the 2018 NBA Draft.
