It is being reported that Texas A&M is hiring Memphis OC Darrell Dickey to serve in the same position on Jimbo Fisher’s staff.

According to Zach Barnett with Football Scoop, the official announcement of Dickey’s hiring is expected in the next 24 hours. Dickey has been with Memphis as OC since 2012.

Dickey has been a part of two, 10-win teams at Memphis and led an especially impressive offense this season. The Tigers averaged 47.7 points per game and 548.2 total yards of offense while going 10-2 this season.

It should also be noted that Dickey has extensive experience within Texas. He served as a graduate assistant at A&M in 1985. He was also the head coach at North Texas from 1998-2006 and posted a 42-64 overall record there.

The Commercial Appeal’s Mark Giannotto shared the same report and cited a Memphis source for the information.
