Do not expect Texas A&M to sweat one report from Saturday too much. At least not after AD Ross Bjork responded on Twitter.

The report centered around the idea that the SEC may realign once Texas and Oklahoma join the conference. While it is not hard to envision realignment occurring, how and when the SEC would do something is still tough to figure out.

According to that Saturday report that came from Horns 247, the SEC will institute a pod-style alignment once the Longhorns and Sooners come aboard. That report included the additional context that the Aggies are seeking to avoid getting placed in the same pod as Texas.

Bjork’s response to the story was short and clear enough. He tweeted a couple of laughing emojis, referenced the “sources,” in the store and finished off with the facepalm emoji. Needless to say, it sounds like this is more of a wild rumor than any sort of substantial report.

Such a report is odd to see as reinstating a regular Texas-Texas A&M rivalry is likely desirable for both programs. The Longhorns also have just one season above 8 wins so the idea that the Aggies would somehow be scared of the matchup is also laughable.
