Texas A&M snapped No. 11 Ole Miss baseball’s five-game winning streak in dramatic fashion on Friday night in Bryan-College Station.

The game was tied 8-8 in the bottom of the ninth before Will Frizzell drilled the first pitch he saw, hitting the game-winning solo shot. It was Frizzell’s second dinger of the game. He also hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning.

As you can hear referenced on the broadcast, it was an important win for the Aggies. In SEC baseball, only the top 12 teams play in the conference tournament. Texas A&M, Auburn and Missouri are battling for the No. 12 seed. With the Friday night victory, the Aggies are now 6-16 in conference play, ahead of Mizzou (5-17) and Auburn (5-18).

Texas A&M will try to add another one to the win column and take the series on Saturday. Game 2 is set for noon Eastern/11 a.m. CT from Blue Bell Park, airing on ESPNU.
