Texas A&M hosted Texas on the baseball diamond Tuesday evening, but the game was briefly interrupted in the top of the 5th inning after a man wearing a Darth Maul mask, no shirt, and the phrase “Trump 2024” painted on his chest climbed down onto Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park and ran through the infield carrying a sign that read “Longhorns suck” before briefly exposing his buttocks.

He then made his way back to the outfield wall, took 2 attempts to clear the fence, and was later arrested on misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct/exposure.

That man happens to be Texas A&M freshman cross country/track and field athlete Spencer Werner.

According toย The Houston Chronicle’sย Brent Zwerneman, Werner was suspended by A&M after his arrest, with the school citing athletic department policy.

Werner, 19, was released from jail Wednesday after he posted bail of $2,800, according to Brazos County jail records. A video posted on social media showed Werner was met by police immediately after he made his way back over the outfield fence.

He was named the SECโ€™s freshman runner of the week on Sept. 20 of last year.
