Texas A&M weakside linebacker A.J. Hilliard will miss several weeks with a dislocated right ankle, coach Kevin Sumlin confirmed Tuesday.

Hilliard recorded three tackles and a sack before suffering the injury during the second half of last week’s opener at South Carolina. He was carted off the field.

Hilliard redshirted last season for the Aggies after transferring from TCU. Senior Tommy Sanders is likely the next man up in Hilliard’s absence.
