When Jimbo Fisher was coaching at Florida State, he was a big fan of RB Jashaun Corbin, a 4-star class of 2018 recruit from Florida.

Corbin even committed to the Seminoles, but decommitted once Fisher left and ended up following Fisher to College Station.

Why’d he pick the Aggies over FSU? He was asked about that after Monday’s practice, as you can see in the video below:

“Before he left, when he was at Florida State, I was set on going to Florida State,” Corbin said. “But when he took the job out here, I kind of backed away because, you know, about the stability. I just decommitted. Once he got the job out here, he reached out to me like, ‘Just come see it for yourself.’ Because I didn’t know anything about Texas A&M. I didn’t have an offer from any Texas schools. It blew me away. I just fell in love with the place.”

Corbin is the likely starter at running back for the Aggies this year, and he’ll have his hands full trying to replace Trayveon Williams. Fisher clearly believes in him, though, so that’s a good start.
