Texas A&M recruiting was a program strength during Jimbo Fisher’s tenure as the Aggies head coach. With Fisher reportedly on the way out, rivals will look to poach from Texas A&M’s 2024 class.

As of Sunday morning, Texas A&M has 20 commitments. On the 247Sports Composite, the class ranks fifth in the SEC (including Oklahoma) and No. 9 nationally. While Fisher has signed higher-rated classes at Texas A&M, the 2024 group is not lacking talent.

Texas A&M’s 2024 class includes an impressive blue chip ratio of 85%. The Aggies’ 20 verbal pledges include 2 Composite 5-stars and 15 more Composite 4-stars. The average player ranking is a 92.05 Composite score, which ranks fifth in the country behind Georgia, Ohio State, Florida and Alabama.

Cameron Coleman is Texas A&M’s top commitment. A wide receiver out of Central High School in Phenix City, Alabama, Coleman is rated 5-stars and the No. 8 player overall. He committed to Texas A&M over Auburn, Clemson, LSU and others.

Terry Bussey is the other 5-star pledge in Texas A&M’s 2024 class. An ATH prospect out of Timpson (Texas), Bussey is the Composite’s No. 22 recruit overall in the class. He picked up 30 scholarship offers and has also taken visits to Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma and Texas.

All 2024 commitments are currently non-binding verbal pledges. The Early Signing Period begins on Dec. 20 and lasts through Dec. 22. It will be interesting to see what Texas A&M’s class looks like when the dust settles from the Early Signing Period.
