The transfer portal has claimed a member of the Texas A&M running back corps, as well as its secondary.

According to On3’s Matt Zenitz, redshirt freshman Darvon Hubbard is currently in the portal. He signed with the program out of the class of 2020, where he was ranked as the No. 39 running back in the country by 247Sports.

Hubbard redshirted in 2020 while making a brief appearance in the South Carolina game that year. In 2021, he appeared in a pair of games.

As Zenitz notes, Hubbard, who will have 4 years of eligibility remaining, was once pledged to Ohio State, with his commitment to the Buckeyes coming in July 2018. However, in Feb. 2019, he re-opened his recruitment. He eventually committed to and signed with the Aggies on National Signing Day 2020.

Also on Wednesday, safety Erick Young, a former 4-star recruit from the class of 2019, announced on Twitter that he has entered the portal. He will have 2 years of eligibility remaining. Young totaled 5 tackles in 5 games played in 2021.
