Texas A&M suffers dismal offensive stat for 5th time under Jimbo Fisher
Texas A&M has had a rough few weeks on offense.
After a dismal performance against Alabama last week, the Aggies offense was stagnant again on Saturday against Tennessee. The main area its struggled is in the run game.
The poor performance from the run game led to a second-straight abysmal stat. The Aggies rushed for lass than 2 yards per carry in a second straight game on Saturday night. Last week against Alabama, Texas A&M rushed for 1.9 yards per carry, and it posted the same number on Saturday against the Vols.
Its the fifth time the Aggies have rushed for less than 2 yards per carry under Jimbo Fisher. They also did in 2019 versus Georgia and Clemson and in 2021 against LSU.
Texas A&M needs to get better production out of the back field if it wants to save the season from spiraling.
Going into this season, Texas A&M rushed for less than two yards per carry in only three games under head coach Jimbo Fisher (2019 Georgia, 2019 Clemson and 2021 LSU).
The Aggies have rushed for < two yards per carry in back-to-back games: 1.9 vs. Bama and 1.9 vs. Tennessee.

Luckily for the Aggies, they’ll get a bye week to regroup and hopefully figure out what’s going on with the run game.
