Texas A&M is hitting the road for the first time this season in Week 3. The Aggies are heading to Gainesville for a showdown vs. Florida in what will be the SEC opener for both teams.

For their first road trip, A&M will don a sharp uniform combination that will pop inside the Swamp. It will be Texas A&M’s all-white uniform, complete with the alternate white helmet with maroon lettering and facemask.

Both Texas A&M and Florida enter the game at 1-1 overall. The programs have similar outcomes to begin the year with key losses in nonconference play before rebounding against lesser competition.

For this specific matchup, bet365 has the Aggies as a 3.5-point road favorite against Billy Napier’s Gators. The two programs are 3-3 in the head-to-head series and the last matchup in Gainesville came in 2017 when the Aggies secured a 19-17 win.

A&M might be the favorite, but Florida could have particularly high stakes involved. Paul Finebaum believes Florida losing at home again could be the final nail in the coffin for Napier’s time in Gainesville.

While Mike Elko is not facing any such pressure, he is entering a stretch of winnable games during his first season with the Aggies. A&M’s next 3 games are against unranked opponents, and there are just 3 currently ranked opponents on the rest of the schedule.
