The hype surrounding former Texas A&M star pass rusher, Myles Garrett, has been out of control since he was drafted No. 1 overall by the Cleveland Browns back in April. With that said, he has certainly lived up to that hype so far.

In Monday night’s preseason game against the New York Giants, Garrett logged the first sack of his NFL career.

Even though it was his first official sack, Garrett has been impressive throughout the offseason. He’s expected to be the team’s starter at right defensive end when the first-team defense takes the field on Sept. 10th against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The comparisons to other No. 1 picks such as Mario Williams and Jadeveon Clowney are going to continue as Garrett tries to emerge as the league’s next great pass rusher, but Monday night was a nice step towards making that dream a reality for the former Aggies star.
