According to Scout.com, Burnam (6-foot-2, 220 pounds) took a trip to Indiana over the weekend and fell in love. The Hoosiers are now in the lead for his future services.
“I really like the chemistry I have with the players and the coaches at Indiana,” said Burnham. “The coaches make me feel important, and they tell me that they love my size and agility. They are at the top right now.”
Burnam is a three-star prospect and a top-40 player at his position from the 2017 recruiting class.
Tennessee’s ’17 class now gets bumped down to 25 total commits.
Surely he means at the top of his list when he said they are at the top right now. You know, how far has Jones took Tennessee when Indiana beats you out on a kid? Lol.
I guess he doesn’t want to be a COL.
“We need another brick!”
He is a 3 star… If you translate his message, he liked his chances of being a starter at Indiana instead of a backup (or special team-er)… The Florida LB commit most likely turned him away and coaches are pulling offers now, possibly to get more JUCO guys that are ready to start and fill in voids due to injuries.
Shy Tuttle may not be ready at the start of next year and we are decimated at linebacker. Coach is attempting to cover some big gaps, hopefully with experience rather than prospects. Short term gains to appease the Boosters, maybe.
But that’s just my opinion.
De’Morreal Burnam has basically said that botch jones and his 6-6 staff is not for me, so I’ll take the hoosiers potential 6-6 staff, where atleast there they may actually develop my skillset….
You idiots don’t follow recruiting do you? He had a condional offer and the staff told him “thanks, but you should look around kid”. It happens everywhere and Jones’ staff does it a lot. This is the third one in a couple months.
Damn, that looks like a Kentucky home game crowd in the photo!
