The Tennessee Volunteers have suffered several decommitments this offseason, especially after the lengthy and public coaching search.

However, now that the Vols have hired Jeremy Pruitt, the recruiting class was supposed to start getting bigger, not smaller.

On Monday morning, though, 3-star 2018 CB Brandon Cross announced on Twitter that he was reopening his recruitment:

Cross took an official visit to Tennessee over the weekend, but apparently wasn’t sold on new coach Jeremy Pruitt’s plans for the team. He visited Indiana on Dec. 1 and the Hoosiers may be back in the mix to land Cross’s commitment in the future.

According to the 247Sports composite, Cross is the No. 76 cornerback in the class of 2018 and the No. 124 overall recruit from the state of Florida.

Tennessee’s recruiting class for 2018 is now down to 12 players, and currently ranks No. 10 in the SEC and No. 31 nationally, per 247Sports.
