One of Tennessee’s 2021 commitments will be arriving on Rocky Top earlier than originally planned.

Outside linebacker Aaron Willis, who pledged to the Volunteers on Mother’s Day, revealed Tuesday night on Twitter that he plans to transfer high schools and enroll early at UT. The 4-star prospect was looking at having to wait until a spring season if he stayed at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. He is instead of transferring Life Christian Academy in Chester, Virginia.

According to GoVols247, even though the state of Virginia pushed its season back to spring, Life Christian Academy has already scheduled five out-of-state games for this fall. Willis appears to have settled on a handful of fall games as his senior season before he can arrive in Knoxville and join the team for spring semester workouts and the spring practice session.

As a Virginia high school player, 247Sports Composite rates him the No. 4 player in the state. He is the No. 10 outside linebacker and No. 128 prospect overall nationally.
