The Atlanta Falcons made an announcement about a new addition to the practice squad after a 48-25 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The team is signing punter Dustin Colquitt, a former Tennessee Volunteer, to its practice squad:

The 39-year-old punter attended the University of Tennessee from 2001 to 2004, and has been on a number of NFL teams throughout his career.

He spent the majority of his career with Chiefs from 2005 to 2019 before signing with the Steelers and Jaguars for parts of the 2020 season.

His signing could be to try and motivate former Georgia punter Cameron Nizialek after a rough game against the Buccaneers.

Nizialek struggled, only sending 1 of his 6 kickoffs for touchbacks. He also had 2 punts for 30 and 33 yards.
