CBS Sports Network panel breaks down Tennessee-LSU, talks home-field advantage and QBs
Tennessee travels to LSU this week in arguably the most intriguing game in the SEC.
The CBS Sports Network panel addressed the game, and predicted which team would win.
Rick Neuheisel likes what Brian Kelly is doing at LSU, and that influenced his pick. Neuheisel also notices how LSU has bounced back from the season-opening loss to Florida State.
“I know Tennessee’s fantastic, but I’m going to take the home team here as the home crowd helped Tennessee against the Florida team and I think that LSU’s much better than Florida,” he said.
Brian Jones, like Neuheisel, believes in Jayden Daniels as they each noted his lack of interceptions. But Jones said “you don’t know what you’re going to get” with Daniels because he’s “sometiming.”
“If they’re wide open he’s going to miss them, and he’s going to miss them in this one, I’m taking Tennessee because how does Matt House’s defense account for the legs of Hendon Hooker,” Jones said. “I don’t believe he can.”
Randy Cross also picked Tennessee, and Aaron Taylor also went with the Vols after pumping up LSU and Brian Kelly and their missed extra-point away from being undefeated.
“I know Tennessee’s fantastic, but I’m going to take the home team here as the home crowd helped Tennessee against the Florida team and I think that LSU’s much better than Florida.”
