Chase McGrath is still enjoying the spoils of the win over Alabama fueled by his last-second kick, and the Tennessee kicker reflected on that during an interview on CBS Sports Network.

McGrath deflected about what time he went to bed after the game, but shared what the on-field atmosphere was like.

“It was wild,” he said. “Once I hit the kick, my whole team just swarmed me and then next thing I know fans are coming from all over the place. It was just a really cool moment. Got to spend a lot of time with my teammates in the locker room, got to smoke a cigar and really just cherish the moment. After that I was able to go out and get some dinner with my family because they were in town for that. Then hang out with some friends.”

About the game-winning kick, McGrath said he tried to treat it like any other kick, and stay locked in on the sidelines.

“It really just comes down to doing your job,” he said. “Our job at that point in time was to make the kick, and once we were able to focus on that, it was able to work out, get the ball through.”
