Relationships play a big role in football, and the relationship between Derek Dooley and Marquez North goes back several years. While the two never connected at Tennessee, Dooley was fired before North could sign with the Vols, the two could reconnect in Dallas.

The North Carolina native was rated as a Top 100 overall prospect coming out of high school, however, injuries robbed North of ever realizing his full potential in college. In three years on Rocky Top, North registered 74 catches, 874 receiving yards and only five touchdowns. He left school early following an injury-plagued 2015 season and went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft.

After spending his rookie season with the Los Angeles Rams, North is still searching for his first NFL catch. According to a report from Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, it could come with Dooley serving as his position coach. According to Wilson, North worked out for Dallas Monday, where Dooley now serves as receiver coach.

Perhaps all these years later, North and Dooley could finally unite and both find some redemption in the process.
