Ethan Wolf was a good starting option at tight end for the 2016 Tennessee Volunteers, a fan-favorite Tennessee squad from the past decade. Wolf was one of many former Vols on that 2016 team that eventually made his way to the NFL, joining Alvin Kamara, Derek Barnett, Josh Dobbs and so on.
Wolf, who played on Rocky Top from 2014-2017, was dependable when Tennessee needed him. He finished his career with just shy of 1,000 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns.
His dependability made him a strong UDFA option for the Tennessee Titans in 2018. And though he was a good option in college, Wolf did not quite pan out in the NFL. He played for 7 different teams on 9 separate moves, spending most of his time on the practice squad. He was cut by the New Orleans Saints in 2021.
But Wolf stuck around in the pro ranks after that. On Sunday, Wolf scored a key touchdown in the XFL playoffs matchup between the DC Defenders and Seattle Sea Dragons.

The score put the Defenders up 2 possessions. DC scored again and remains on top 30-9 halfway through the 4th quarter on ESPN.
