Fair or foul? Derek Barnett reportedly won’t be suspended for hit that injured Green Bay RB Jamaal Williams

Derek Barnett may not face discipline this time but the Philadelphia defender may need to be careful in the future when it comes to lowering the boom on a defender after the whistle.

If you missed it on Thursday night, Barnett hit Green Bay running back Jamaal Williams in the head during the Eagles win over the Packers. The hit led to Williams getting injured.

While Barnett was not tossed from the game for this hit, he very well could have faced that punishment. Following the game, there was speculation that Barnett would be suspended for the hit, however, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the defensive end will not face a suspension.
