Former 3-star DE Mykelle McDaniel recently decided to transfer from Tennessee after not recording a single tackle last season.

He attended several spring practices before making his decision official, and this weekend, he announced where he would play next.

Sports betting in Tennessee officially launched on November 1, 2020, and many of the largest sportsbooks are live and operating in the volunteer state. Tennessee is only one of a handful of SEC football states with legalized sports betting.

According to McDaniel’s Twitter account, the Georgia native will head to UAB to play for the Blazers for the rest of his college career:

Interestingly, the Blazers are scheduled to play the Volunteers in November 2019, so McDaniel may get a chance to square off against his former teammates.

McDaniel would be a redshirt junior for UAB at that time if he is still with the Blazers’ program in 2019.
