Former Tennessee LB Daniel Bituli is on an NFL roster after all.

After he made the Los Angeles Rams roster in the spring, he was let go, but has reportedly returned to the Rams, according to David Ubben of The Athletic. Multiple NFL reporters said that Bituli worked out with the Rams on Monday.

Bituli had 69 tackles (4.5 for a loss), 3 sacks and a forced fumble in 10 games for the Vols in 2019. In his career, Bituli was multi-year starter for the Volunteers, and made 266 tackles (including 14.5 tackles for loss and 4 sacks) 6 passes defended and 2 forced fumbles in his career.

His Tennessee highlights included a 100-yard interception return for a touchdown at Alabama and a blocked punt and recovery for a TD in a home win over South Carolina.

A Nashville product, by way of the Congo, Bituli had a 23-tackle game against Georgia Tech as a sophomore in 2017.

He also became only the second Vol to lead Tennessee in tackles for 3 straight seasons. A 2019 All-SEC second team selection, he collected double-digit tackles in 3 games as a senior and was named SEC Defensive Player of the Week twice. He had 19 tackles versus Kentucky and helped spark the Vols’ 6-game winning streak.
