WATCH: FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt gives top 3 candidates to replace Butch Jones
Somebody should really tell all the analysts and oddsmakers that Butch Jones is still the head coach at Tennessee.
And if things play out like they should, he actually still may be the head coach in 2018.
There’s a decently good chance Jones and Tennessee finish 8-4 this season, and if that happens, he’ll probably return, right?
However, after the 41-0 blowout loss to Georgia, the popular trend is to list the top candidates to replace Jones next season. Odds are even out. FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt recently gave his top three candidates on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, and they started with the unemployed Chip Kelly. Kelly is certainly the popular name, but Scott Frost (UCF) and Justin Fuente (Virginia Tech) are somewhat different.
Here are Klatt’s top three candidates at Tennessee (if Jones doesn’t return), with the video below:
1. Chip Kelly
2. Scott Frost, UCF
3. Justin Fuente, Virginia Tech
