Hendon Hooker is one of the top returning quarterbacks in college football for 2022.

After a huge first-year in Josh Heupel’s offense, Hooker is set to have a huge second season for the Vols fast-paced offense. And his first half start against Ball State certainly didn’t do anything to temper those expectations.

Hooker has combined for 3 touchdowns at the break. The Vols quarterback has connected on 16-of-22 for 201 yards. Hooker hit Jalin Hyatt on a 23-touchdown pass on the Vols first offensive play from scrimmage.

Later in the first half, Hooker hit receiver Ramel Keyton for 32 yards.

Just before halftime, Hooker hit Walker Merrill for a 16-yard touchdown.

Hooker has also added 2 rushing touchdowns on 3 carries.

The Vols lead the Cardinals 38-0 at halftime.
