Leading up to the 2023 NFL Draft, much of the coverage has focused on the draft order of Will Levis, Anthony Richardson, Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud. One NFL insider shares that some teams have Hendon Hooker in higher than 2 of the most talked-about QBs.

James Palmer of the NFL Network recently appeared on the “Cut to It” podcast. He shared that “plenty of teams” have the former Tennessee standout as the draft’s QB3.

“You want to hear what teams think of Hendon Hooker? There are plenty of teams that have him above the bottom two that you mentioned [Richardson and Levis],” Palmer said, per Bleacher Report. “There are plenty of teams that have him third on their list, right below those top two in Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud.”

Saturday Down South’s Matt Hayes recently made the case that teams need to ignore the age and injury concerns about drafting Hooker and trust the tape. Hooker was having a sensational senior season before he was sidelined by a torn ACL.

It will be interesting to see if Hooker can turn the “big 4” into the “big 5” when it comes to QBs as early picks in the 2023 NFL Draft. We’ll find out later this month.
