Hendon Hooker loved the atmosphere that helped Tennessee knock off Florida on Saturday.

After the game, he spoke with CBS Sports’ sideline reporter Jenny Dell about the win, as he was 22-for-28 passing for 349 yards, along with 112 rushing yards as he accounted for 3 touchdowns.

“This is what we do every day,” Hooker said. “We come in and practice and we plan on executing plays to the best of our ability. We did that tonight.”

In the first half, Hooker took a couple tough hits from Florida defenders and he spent time in the injury tent with an apparent upper body injury.

“I’m feeling pretty good,” he said. “It’s a physical game. It comes with ups and downs and pains and aches and I love every bit of it.”

Hooker is aware how big a win over Florida is given the history.

“It means a lot for the school and the program, and every win is special,” he said. “It’s hard to win in this league, and to go out there and put on a show like we did tonight is a blessing.”
