Tennessee standout wide receiver Jalin Hyatt has been named a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, given yearly to the college football season’s most outstanding FBS receiver .

Hyatt’s inclusion on the list was almost a given. He’s easily been one of the 3 best receivers in the nation this year, highlighted by a 5-touchdown game against Alabama in October.

Ohio State’s Marvin Harrison Jr and Iowa State’s Xavier Hutchinson were also named finalists for the prestigious award.

Hyatt averaged over 100 receiving yards per game this season, one of just 5 receivers across the country to do so and the only such player from the Power 5. Charlie Jones of Purdue was close at 99.9 yards per game.

Hyatt is also tied for the lead in the country with 15 touchdown receptions. Only Houston’s Nathaniel Dell is in the same ballpark with 15 touchdown receptions himself. Three players are tied for 2nd place with 12 touchdown receptions.

Can or should Hyatt win the award?
