Jeremy Pruitt announces offensive lineman Nathan Niehaus no longer with the program
The bad news out of Rocky Top continues as the Volunteers recently had a lineman leave the program.
According to head coach Jeremy Pruitt, who met with the media following Tennessee’s most recent practice, redshirt junior Nathan Niehaus has left the program.
“Nathan has left the team,” Pruitt said when asked why Niehaus was not at practice on Wednesday.
When asked a follow-up regarding whether that was Niehaus’s decision, Pruitt said, “Absolutely [it was].”
Niehaus appeared in 10 games for the Vols last season, including six starts at right guard. Prior to last season, Niehaus had not seen the field on Rocky Top.
