Josh Dobbs dazzles, shakes off defender to score first Vikings TD on SNF
Josh Dobbs is an enigma.
The former Tennessee quarterback just continues to dazzle with the Minnesota Vikings after 7 years of serving as a journeyman backup.
Dobbs, after briefly exiting Sunday Night Football’s matchup against Denver early following a hard hit, led the Vikings to their first touchdown at the start of the 2nd quarter.
He rolled out to his right and seemed to have nobody open, but kept the play alive by shaking off a Broncos defender. From there, Dobbs found tight end Josh Oliver for 6.

Dobbs is undefeated with the Vikings and already driving to tack on another score. Minnesota has won 5 straight and is looking for its 6th Sunday night against the Broncos.
The Dobbs story is still being written. Minnesota has looked stout since he has taken over, and he’s finally starting to shine with weapons around him. And to think, he still has yet to play with star WR Justin Jefferson.
Dobbs is just shy of 2,000 passing yards on the season with 11 passing touchdowns and 5 interceptions. He’s rushed for 368 yards and 5 touchdowns this season as well.
